Session: Healing Centered Engagement from a youth perspective
Youth from the Healing Youth Alliance will present on growing up in Baltimore, trauma, and Healing in the Black community. Specific strategies will be discussed.

The Healing Youth Alliance is a group of 20 youth who have been trained by the University of Maryland School of Social Worker and Black Mental Health Alliance on mental health, trauma, and healing in the African American community. Youth receive 24 weeks of training and offer presentations throuhgout the country on mental health, trauma and healing among youth in the African American community. Youth have presented to audiences in California, New Jersey, Canada, and Maryland. Audiences include teachers, social workers, medical providers, community members, and administrators. Youth have presented at the University of Maryland, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore City Council, and the Mayor's office.
